Daddy's home for the Holidays!

Words can't describe how happy we are to have Bryan back in little 'ole Athens! He recently got to take in the "Windy City" and the Magnificent Mile! Chicago was a blast for Bryan! He attended the Midwest Clinic, saw the Chicago Symphony Brass Ensemble, and did a little shopping for Mommy and Logan! It has been a crazy week around here. First, Bryan got the stomach virus Sunday night. I felt so bad for him! We weren't even sure if he was going to get to go on his trip...but he pulled through just in time. Granna P came to stay with us Monday and Tuesday so we wouldn't miss Daddy so much. Then Grandma H came to stay on Wednesday night. Everyone seemed just fine at that point. Bryan made it to Chicago, I made it to work, Logan played hookie from school...

and then it all went south.....

NEWS FLASH---STOMACH VIRUS HITS ATHENS!

OH MY GOODNESS! Never has there been like the sickness...I felt like a little kid all over again. You know what I'm talking about. The kind of sickness where your mom has to take care of you and bring you Gatorade and popcicles. That's exactly what happened. My mom, who had just come to help Logan play hookie, was now caring for me too! I called in to work on Friday, and remained in a coma-like state for the rest of the day. By the way, sick days are only fun when you aren't sick. I finally woke up Saturday morning feeling a little better only to find that my mom and Bryan's mom were now sick with this lovely virus. I needed my hubby! It was about more than one could stand. I wasn't even completely well myself, but managed to take care of Logan and Mom for the rest of the day. Bryan caught an early flight from Chicago and arrived home around midnight. Never has the song, "I'll be home for Christmas," meant so much to me. Daddy did bring us some awesome gifts from his trip. He got Mommy and Logan Chicago Bears shirts. He also got Logan the adorable Chicago Bulls hat in the picture. I hope this little story makes up for not posting in a while. Also, congratulations are in order for Bryan, who finished his Master's of Music Education Degree this December. We are SO proud of you!

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas, and most definitely a happy and HEALTHY New Year!
